Mint Museum Event- the Mint Condition Gala
3.12.11 The Mint Condition Gala was big time fun. This annual event raises money for the Mint Museum of Craft and Design through two great auctions. After the bidding, winning, and dinner, it turned into a great party! The event space on the 2nd floor was transformed into a giant dance floor.
The Details Our friends at EyeDialogue provided some great lighting that transformed the space- and it included the debut of their 4″ Disco Ball. (Really Cool, by the way.) I had a great time playing everything from 70’s disco to the latest from Ke$ha, and the crowd loved it. The dance floor was PACKED for more than two hours. We had to ask people to leave so they could close up the museum! Great Event, and thanks to the Founder’s Circle group at the Mint for having us entertain at this great party.
The Venue GREAT Venue / Space in Uptown Charlotte! The New Mint Museum is on the Avenue of the Arts, and is super easy to find and near 277 and I-77. The 2nd Floor Space is called the Robert Haywood Morrison Atrium. It is an AWESOME space for any party, and especially a wedding reception. It is 4000 square feet, and it features a 60 x 60 glass wall that looks out toward the streets of Uptown Charlotte. It is a beautiful space, and it lends itself to be decorated any number of ways, or just used as-is.
